More than relaxing in the icy waters and currents of a waterfall, getting to them is a real adventure. A tour that can not miss in your itinerary of a trip to our beautiful coast. Here are some waterfalls that we indicate to our guests:
RIBEIRÃO DO ITU WATERFALL
• Degree of difficulty: Medium
• Total extension: 1.2 km (first waterfall), approximately 1.5 km (second waterfall); 2 km (third waterfall)
• Average time of the route: 30 min (first waterfall) and 50 min (second waterfall).
The waterfalls are located in the neighborhood of Boiçucanga towards Serra do Mar, the transformation of the landscape is evident when we approach the beginning of the trail, which has parking and bathroom.
The ecotourist already begins the trail with adventure, crossing the small river of Ribeirão de Itu and entering the trail in the middle of the forest that mixes with the riparian forest of the river, providing a natural environment rich in species and high humidity. The trail follows a comfortable pace without very steep stretches, overcoming natural obstacles such as fallen trees, huge tree roots and eventually encountering local residents, such as a few small mammals, countless amphibians, colorful birds and ancient trees with Guanandí and the Jequitibá. The effort of the trail is offset by the lush vegetation and the beautiful waterfalls and natural pools that the Ribeirao de Itu offers visitors along its route.
